How do I export a mockup with a transparent background?
Open image export, select PNG and enable the transparent background option when it is available on your plan. Transparency removes the scene background from the exported image; it does not remove a background already present inside your screenshot.
Prepare the frame
Choose the device angle and output aspect ratio before exporting. Leave room around the device if you plan to place the PNG into another layout. Transparent PNG export requires Pro; the export dialog shows the current options.
Inspect transparency in another layout
Place the downloaded PNG over both a light and dark background to inspect its edges. Some image viewers show transparent pixels as white or black. That display color alone does not mean the export has an opaque background.
Keep an editable copy
The PNG is a finished image, not an editable scene. Download a .modolly project backup if you want to change the screen, camera or export size later.
