Free exports up to 720p for 10 seconds; Pro adds 1080p, 4K and 8K for up to 30 seconds. All are silent at 30 fps. Export checks your browser at the selected dimensions and uses H.264 or H.265 (HEVC). 8K requires a compatible encoder and enough graphics memory.

A PNG or MP4 is a finished export. A .modolly file is the editable project backup, including your imported media and model references.

Back up before clearing browser data or switching browsers, computers or website addresses. Platform models are not included in the backup; loading them still requires internet access and the appropriate plan.
Click the preview to focus it before using camera keys. Keyboard actions do not replace text input while you are editing a field.

Projects, imported pictures, recordings and thumbnails stay in this browser on this device. They are not uploaded or automatically synced. Your account, subscription and the platform model catalog are online. Models still need an internet connection to load.
Use Export project backup in the editor or Export project file in the Projects menu. Keep the .modolly file somewhere safe. In Projects, choose Import project file to restore it as a new project. Back up before clearing browser data or changing websites, browsers or computers. Logging in on another device does not transfer local projects.
Keep the original file and check its format, dimensions and size. Each file can be up to 300 MB. Images can be up to 8,192 pixels on the longest edge and 32 megapixels; videos up to five minutes, 4,096 pixels on the longest edge and nine megapixels. Check available browser storage and retry. A failed import does not replace the last saved media.
Open Screen and change the fit mode. Center crop fills the screen by cropping the edges; the full-image option preserves the whole design and may leave space around it. For the closest fit, use the screen dimensions shown in the editor when preparing your image or recording.
MP4 is rendered frame by frame on your device. Your browser needs WebCodecs and an H.264 or H.265 encoder that supports the selected size. Keep the tab visible and close other graphics-heavy tabs. Use the lower-resolution option if a check or export fails. PNG remains an alternative. An HEVC export needs a compatible video player; smaller H.264 exports have broader playback support.
Your local projects, media and backups remain on your device. Pro models require an active membership to load and edit. Free models remain available. You can manage renewal and view the current subscription status in Account and billing.
Do not clear browser data. Keep the tab and your source files open, check storage space, then retry. Export a project backup when possible. If a file is missing, select the original file again. Only the Saved on this device state confirms that the save completed.
Yes, with Pro and a compatible device. Landscape is 7,680 × 4,320 and portrait is 4,320 × 7,680 for PNG and MP4. Square PNG reaches 7,680 × 7,680; square MP4 reaches 4,320 × 4,320. The export dialog always shows the actual dimensions. Higher resolution needs more memory and does not add detail missing from your original screen image. These are export limits; media import limits are unchanged.
